From a simple frustration to a full-blown data platform
Picture this: It's 2 AM, I'm scrolling through tech news, and I see yet another layoff announcement. Then another. And another. I thought to myself:"What if we could get all this data in one place?"
I wanted to create something that would help job seekers, researchers, and anyone curious about workforce trends. No more hunting through dozens of news sites or trying to piece together incomplete data.
Late-night scrolling through tech news, seeing layoff after layoff... 'There has to be a better way to track all this!'
Spent weeks aggregating data from hundreds of sources, building scrapers, and crying over CSV files.
Fueled by coffee and determination, built the entire platform in Next.js with real-time analytics.
Added interactive maps, beautiful charts, and enough features to make data nerds happy.
